Feb 3

Home sweet home at last. I think i have the date right. We arrived home about 9:30PM on Sunday night from JFK. We were there early of course and waited for about an hour and a half after the plane landed for them to go through customs. Of course i have no idea where the cord is to transfer pix off of our camera, so there will be no pix posted from the little red camera we brought. we have a few from our other camera which hopefully i can get them loaded and added to this.

The escort ended up being the doctor in the prior pix with Eva, for some reason i though it was someone else. The driver said that the doctor advised she was a very good baby, ate good, slept good. Eva was in a stroller and they came up to us. the driver was there at the same time for the escort. The paperwork was handed over to us along w/the duffle bag for traveling. The driver translated a few things to us from the escort, then next thing you know - we were there in a crowded JFK airport terminal w/little Eva, a few bags and a stroller and the escort and her driver left - all in the matter of like 5 minutes. We bundled her up and we got out of the crowded airport as fast as we could. The first 2 hrs of the drive home was fine - she slept - the next hr or so was not so good - the cried the whole way, the poor little girl was so scared.

The first night was rough - no sleep for Lisa (mike had to work Monday AM). Monday during the day was a rough one.. very rough. We think the 20 hour flight and the time change really hit her. Tuesday she was very very happy but only slept for like 4.5 hrs Monday night, then took 2 - 1/2 hr naps during the day. Wednesday she was about 1/2 and 1/2 good and bad moods - probably from lack of sleep. she slept for about 4 - 4 1/2 hrs and took 1 - 1/2 hr nap... i know i'm exhausted, i dont know how she is still ticking. She finally went to sleep at like 6:30ish PM today. we kept her up as late as we could - hoping she would sleep through the night. My guess is we will be up at midnight again and will be up all day. So, with that said, Lisa will be laying down right now.

Niko likes Eva (I think he is very tired too due to no sleep for him either)..lol. She also likes Niko (thank god). Eva likes Vinnie as well but can't catch him. she has been crawling after him but he runs too fast. Vinnie doesn't know what to make of her - he just stares..

It has been 3 days and it has been a very slow progress. Yes we know it has ONLY been 3 days but she is barely sleeping - hopefully she feels comfortable enough soon.

Here are a few pix - we do have much more - once the cord is found we can upload.

Sorry sleep is so little right now..
Hang in there guys,it's going to take some time to get her adjusted to our time zone, but it'll be worth it when she's all settled and on a routine. ♥

  3. Thanks for posting amidst being so tired. I've been watching your blog everyday since your last post. Congratulations you little family of 5! I'm sure she'll be her old smiley happy self soon. It was a big deal for a baby to travel for so long... hugs and kisses to you all.
